We are hiring a Senior Product Manager for everything mobile at eBay Kleinanzeigen. Product Managers at eBay Kleinanzeigen do a lot. In an "average" day you might be involved in UI designs, QAing new features, spec-ing out ideas, chasing a problem that a customer reported, analyzing the impact of a recent product change, sharing know-how with other eBay classifieds teams globally and studying customer feedback.
As a Senior Product Manager for mobile, you'll work with our local in-house team of highly-talented software engineers as well as with our development partners in San Jose, California and Portland, Oregon.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Deliver eBay Kleinanzeigen’s promise of simplicity on mobile devices
- Develop and evolve a succinct mobile product strategy for eBay Kleinanzeigen
- Evangelize entire team to add mobile to the eBay Kleinanzeigen DNA
- Design intuitive, elegant mobile interfaces that will be used by millions of eBay Kleinanzeigen users (~1 million/month to date, growing rapidly)
- Work with our product development team to create and iterate on your ideas
- Identify, analyze and prioritize new features
- Seek user feedback and continuously improve satisfaction of our mobile app users
- Strive for perfection but love to release and iterate
Your Profile
- Ability to develop a mobile product vision for eBay Kleinanzeigen and willingness to adapt vision over time based on customer feedback
- Solid understanding of mobile technologies and ability to bridge technical constraints with business or user requirements. Background in computer science or similar is not required but a strong plus
- Passion for and ability to create truly simple user interfaces. Experience in designing successful mobile interfaces for consumers required
- Strong decision making skills
- Strong communication skills in both English and German.
- Natural interest in the rapidly evolving mobile technology and application space
- Passion for consumers and for continuously improving customer satisfaction
- Interest in the classifieds and C2C space
